Dr Yap Lip Kee has been practicing in Mount Elizabeth Medical Center since 1991 at
GYNAE CONSULTANCY PTE LTD. While his main practice has been in gynecology, infertility and endoscopic surgery (also called key hole surgery or minimally invasive surgery) he has maintained an active interest in institutional and academic practice.

During this time he continued to teach at what was then called the Kandang Kerbau Hospital.

Dr Yap Lip Kee started and headed the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit in the new K.K.
Women's Hospital from 1997 to 2003.

He was the President of the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy from 2001 to 2003. He is a member of the Singapore Medical Council, on his second term since 1999.

In 2002, he was appointed as Medical Director of the Mount Elizabeth Fertility Centre.

As a doctor, he believes first in "above all, do no harm" and that risk evaluation is crucial to success. Dr Yap is also a visiting Professor of Gynecology at the Xin Hua Hospital in Shanghai.

He enjoys skiing and golf, is married and has three children.
